Your Impact

$25 - Funds a community activity or recreational event for our residents

$100 - Cost to provide safe transportation to the grocery store for 12 seniors 

$500 - Covers the cost to move one senior to more accommodating housing

$2,500 - Covers the full cost of labor, materials, and service fees for a major repair for a senior homeowner

$5,000 - Cost to cover 6-months of affordable rent for a senior resident

We depend on the continued support of friends like you to help seniors with low-incomes in Chicago remain connected to their community. Every donation, no matter the amount, gives the gift of independence, connection, and joy for the seniors we serve.

Make a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. On the donation form, let us know who we should notify of your gift and any other special notes we can share.

Crowdfunding

Are you getting married or celebrating a birthday or other major milestone? Consider asking your loved ones to make a donation to H.O.M.E. in lieu of a present. You can tell your family and friends about your wish through email or a personalized card by asking them to dedicate their gift to you using the donation form. You’re also welcome to set up a crowdfunding page through Facebook, GoFundMe, or another platform.

Planned and Investment Giving

Donor Advised Funds

Donor advised funds is a charitable investment account, for the sole purpose of supporting your favorite charitable organizations. Combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support H.O.M.E. Popular platforms include Fidelity Charitable and Vanguard Charitable

Planned Gifts and Bequests

Leave a legacy of support for seniors with low-income in Chicago. A bequest is a form of giving accomplished by including a few sentences in your will. If you’ve already created your will, your attorney can easily make an amendment, called a codicil. For instructions about how to make a bequest, click here.

Stock Donations 

Shares of stock can be donated. H.O.M.E. makes it easy—just provide the specific stock information and the organization will complete the transaction through its broker. For assistance, please contact Cassidy Olson, cassidyo@homeseniors.org.

In-kind and noncash gifts

H.O.M.E. occasionally accepts in-kind gifts such as cell phones, gift cards, and other valuables. Our capacity to do so largely depends on current needs and availability of storage space. For any in-kind gifts, please contact us to find out what our current needs are.

Corporate Giving

  • Matching Gifts

    Companies often match employee donations of cash or securities to charitable organizations—doubling or even tripling an individual donation. Find your company on our donation page, or contact your company's Human Resource Department to see if matching donations are available. We are also happy to complete any employer form for you.

  • Sponsorship

    Sponsor a H.O.M.E. event, program, capital improvement, or general operating expense. In exchange you’ll receive a robust package of marketing benefits and the opportunity to a diverse group of dedicated supporters, including community and industry leaders.

  • Workplace Giving

    Give your employees the opportunity to give back in a way that can most benefit the cause of their choice, as well as your corporate culture. Workplace giving can take many forms from payroll deductions, volunteer grants, and internal fundraisers. If you are a federal employee,

  • Third Party Websites

Our Commitment to Our Donors

We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by H.O.M.E., both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
