How to Make a Bequest

A bequest is a form of giving accomplished by including a few sentences in your will. If you’ve already created your will, your attorney can easily make an amendment, called a codicil.

The suggested bequest language for Housing Opportunities & Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) is: "I give to H.O.M.E., an Illinois non-profit organization, whose present address is 1419 West Carroll Avenue, FL2, Chicago, Illinois 60607, and its successors forever, the sum of $___ (or a percentage of the estate) (or the description of property or stock, etc.) to be used in such a manner as its Board of Directors determines.”

Stock Donations:

Shares of stock can be donated.  H.O.M.E. makes it easy—just provide the specific stock information and the organization will complete the transaction through its broker.

Event Sponsorships

Each spring, H.O.M.E. hosts an annual Celebration Dinner to engage supporters, clients, and local leaders in an evening of fun and networking. If you or your company would like to be a sponsor for this event, please download our Sponsroship Packet.
