In March, H.O.M.E. was awarded a grant by the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation.
Earlier this summer our Executive Director, Bruce Otto, met John Whaley, his longtime friend, in Minneapolis who presented him with the check. John is a MDRT member who endorsed H.O.M.E. for the honor.
John first learned about H.O.M.E. through Bruce and became a supporter of our mission and unique programs for low-income seniors in Chicago.
The MDRT Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Million Dollar Round Table, the Premier Association of Financial Professionals.
MDRT is an international, independent association of more than 34,000 of the world’s best life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 80 nations and territories. The MDRT Foundation provides its members with a means to give back to their communities and improve the quality of life for those in need.
Grant funding is made available through donations from MDRT members. The foundation is a reflection of the caring and sharing spirit MDRT member’s exhibit in their profession, in their industry, and in the lives of others.
At H.O.M.E. we depend on the contributions of generous individuals and foundations like MDRT to provide essential housing and housing support services to some of the most vulnerable people in our community. We thank the foundation, and John for recommending us for this award.
The gift from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation will allow us to continue pursuing our passion of changing the lives of low-income seniors and developing a more equitable, robust, and age-friendly community in Chicago.
