H.O.M.E.'s Associates Board is a group of emerging leaders who are dedicated to H.O.M.E.'s mission. They come together to support our mission through leadership, fundraising, and volunteer activities.
Periodically, we'd like to introduce you to some of the members of the AB who make a difference in the lives of seniors in Chicago.
- What’s your name? Where are you from?
My name is John Cosby, and I’m originally from Lincoln, IL.
- Why did you join the Associates Board of H.O.M.E?
I attended H.O.M.E.’s annual celebration dinner last Spring, and was amazed at how much the organization was able to do in the community with a very small team.
- Why is volunteering important to you?
Volunteering is important to me as a way of “paying it forward.” I have the time and abilities, so I like to use them to better the community and empower individuals.
- In your current position what is your title and role with your company?
I’m a Material Requirements Planner for Mark Anthony Brewing, Inc. MAB is the supply chain arm of the Mark Anthony Group of Companies: the owner of brands like Mike’s Hard Lemonade and White Claw Hard Seltzer. In my role I am responsible for working with flavour and ingredient suppliers to ensure materials are available at our production facilities to meet our production schedule.
- How can others get involved with H.O.M.E or the Associates Board?
H.O.M.E., and the AB, have events throughout the year that help the community, and raise funds for the organization. Volunteering at these is a very easy way to understand the organization and the AB. H.O.M.E and the AB are very active on social media, so the easiest way to stay on top of these events would be to visit H.O.M.E.’s Facebook page.
