There was a lot of volunteer activity this past week at the Pat Crowley House.
We had volunteers come in both days on the weekend to be a guest chef and provide a delicious meal for our residents. On Saturday we had two volunteers join us; they brought special treats from the famous Smoque BBQ! On Sunday we had a new volunteer, Anna. She prepared baked chicken, which everybody loved.
Yesterday was busy as well. First we had 1st to 3rd grade students from Centro Romero join us. They did an amazing job singing and gave Valentines cards and handmade flowers made out of crepe paper to all of our residents.
Later that night high school students from the Covenant Youth Collision socialized and played cards. The residents got another valentine from them: pencils with personalized notes and flowers. Everybody had a great time playing UNO and we are looking forward to having them again next month!
