Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly preserves the independence and dignity of low-income elderly in Chicago through a variety of direct programs and services. Our philosophy is to provide quality living situations to disadvantaged seniors in the city, considering them as friends rather than "clients."

In addition to intergenerational housing, programs and services offered by H.O.M.E. include the only free citywide moving and relocation services for the elderly, a furniture donation program, free shopping transportation services, volunteer services, and upkeep and repair services for elderly homeowners in Chicago.
