Dr. Zweibel has been a H.O.M.E. donor and Board member since 2002. A Senior Program Officer with The Retirement Research Foundation (RRF), Nancy chose a career serving older adults in loving memory of her grandfather, Albert Levine and her grandmother, Clara Ropeik. Each exhibited strength of character in the face of late life challenges, a love of learning, immense generosity of spirit, and a passion for family. It is because these values are central to H.O.M.E.’s mission that Nancy donates her time, talents and funds to us.
Dr. Zweibel received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1986, where she then worked doing research on aging and health until 1991. After taking time off to raise her young children, Dr. Zweibel returned to full-time work when she joined RRF in 2000. The Foundation was the first in the U.S. dedicated to making grants to improve the quality of life of older adults. Dr. Zweibel’s areas of expertise are senior housing, long-term care, falls prevention, and mental health of older adults. Dr. Zweibel has pledged to help guide H.O.M.E. as it prepares to manage the growing numbers of older adults who will need its services as the baby boom generation ages.
